Two door sports car means that the back seats are somewhat useless.
The T-tops and frame-less windows don’t like automated car washes. Fine in the rain, but you may get damp if there’s a horizontal jet.
It’s an automatic, great for cruising, not ideal for much else.
Heavy-ish weight and solid axle don’t lead to the best results at AutoX.
Fucking pop-up headlights. They’re the actual worst. I’ve fixed then replaced each side twice and it’s a blind nightmare to deal with.
I love my car, but it’s not without its flaws.

The TA would probably look pretty good with some 924 GTS style lights in place of the pop ups.

Counterpoints:
The back seat saves you money on insurance.
You literally can’t get T-tops on a new car anymore, and they’re awesome. If it’s leaking water that just means better ventilation whilst parked.
Automatics in a car like that are great for bracket racing.
Now that you have fixed your headlights, they are hopefully unlikely to break again...also, they’re awesome.

I get everyone complains about 2+2 but I’d rather have the back seats than not. 2+2 is my preferred frequent use fun car.

The TA is sticking around, and I may actually run the whole AutoX season in it while I learn driving stick at speed. It’s a way better car day to day than the Miata, but the Miata is a really fun toy.

Have you looked into the fixed headlights they have for the T/A? Or would that ruin the looks or put it in a different class for autocross or something

Fixed covers look awful, and now that they’ve both been replaced they should be fine for quite a while.
